The Cherokee Indians didn’t need any gunpowder to create a deadly weapon. North American Cherokees used river cane to craft blowguns. Blowguns, also known as blowpipes or blow tubes, are uncomplicated weapons made up of small tubes for firing darts. A hunter, for example, would have used a blow gun to incapacitate his prey.
Blow guns are easy to operate. Users only have to blow into one end in order to force the dart out the other end. Darts may be tipped with poison to increase their success. In addition to the Cherokee Indians of the North America; peoples of South East Asia and South America have utilized blow guns for hundred of years.
